Reflecting back on our historial 10 year journey!
Today is my Dads Birthday, and he has been gone from Us for 26 years! It is no doubt to me that my Daddy Carefully brought My husband Bobby into my life and my Mother fell in Love with him right away! They had the best Mother & Son in-law relationship until her passing in 2008. When you reach a certain age (50) and you have experience some highs & lows you are wise enough to reflect over your life with appreciation and have a grateful heart! Have you ever asked yourself where you were when some historical event took place? Where were you when 911 happen? When our Country elected its first African American President, or where were you when we welcomed in the year 2000? That's where I find myself today, My Husband was just named the Head Coach of Michigan State University their first African American Head Coach & Dr. Underwood their first African American AD. Michigan State has always been know to provide opportunities and valued their own! I am using this time to revisit my life on that journey. My Son Nicholas was 9 years old and my daughter Nataly was 12 years old. The MSU Spartans were headed to the Citrus Bowl in Orlando after a 9-2 record under the leadership of Coach Saban and we were excited. I will tell the story how Bobby was being interviewed by Eastern Michigan University for their next Head Coach position when he was summoned to meet with the the leadership at MSU. EMU will always be special to us because it is where Bobby was working when we first met! Life has a way of coming full circle. Bobby is currently the Special Teams Coordinator with Coach Saban at The University of Alabama. After coming up short, We are looking forward to meeting Coach Dantonio and the Michigan State Spartans in the Now Capital One Bowl in Orlando Florida! The Dantonios are like our family in that we Coached together for 5 years as Spartans, and me and Becky have some coaches wives garage sale stories to tell! I look forward to you taking this journey with me back into time! I call my journey behind the line of Scrimmage a glimpse into the life of a Coaches Wife and the family! Lets Go!
