This Day 20 years ago, God Trusted me with My Son!
As my Son Nicholas celebrates his 20th birthday, I was taken to another moment of reflection. Usually we all get caught up in what gifts to give or receive, but I couldn't help but to think about when the Dr. handed me my baby boy! Time really does go by way to fast, because I really have to recall the many first of his journey. His first tooth, his first steps, going to pre-school, his first flag football game and now he is Young Man in his second year of college and standing at the adult cross road! Nicholas in his High School days was one of my Angels. Ou family was the caregivers for my Mom & His Ahba. He would insist that I go out to TJ Maxx just to get out the house after he came in from school and a long football practice He would call me and tell me he gave Ahba her Oakmeal and given her, her nightly medicine! As I travel along this journey backover my life and put lifes events on my timeline, I get over whelmed how blessed I am even in the face of adversity! Being a Mother and Wife is my most improtant job and I know God directs my path in all directions. My bigggest birthday gift to my son, is keeping him in daily prayer that he Trust in the Lord with all His Might! My Mothers favorite prayer that we learned during her passing, As parents we try to pass on the Wisdom that our parents gave to us. We didin't appreciate their teachings untill we were old enough to get it or even better, became parents ourselves! As this day comes to a close and I remember the young 30 year old I was becoming a Mom for the second time, I am so Thankful that God has trusted me to be the parents of two most incrediable young people who I expect to do great things. It started with two young people in Love and from that Love came Nicholas & Nataly!

A Morning of Learning!
Speaking of Magical Morning, I started mine @ around 4:30a.m Centeral Time. There are my two other Visionaries who is always up at the crack of Dawn like myself on Eastern time, WE know who WE are. It was such a productive morning because we set up our ooVoo account which allowed US to have a 3 way video call and Conversation from our Homes in Alabama, Detroit & Southfeild MI! After laughing about how funny we all looked in our morning bonnets and head scafts, we got down to business! Because I am just now starting to explore the computor after being years behind, I must say, My girls are patient with my beginner questions and only laughed at me one good time! We had our Tea! Jan even saved Nataly from being drugged out the bed for her early morning hair appointment, because I annouced to them of what I was about to do...When Jan reminded me I was on the wrong Time Zone and that Nat had another Hour to Sleep. Barb is a wonderful Teacher because she never makes you think you are asking a crazy question and she can bring you back when you have click into another World! Taking this Life Journey from Conception to Reality is more Fun when you are Challenged by Those Who Believe In You & Your Dreams as much as You-Yourself. Wow I am so Thankful this morning! I'm off to do some Xmas Shopping from the Heart that I will not regret when the Bills Roll in The first of the Year! I remind Myself everyday, if you keep doing the Same Thing how do You Expect to see any different results!

Reflecting back on our historial 10 year journey!
Today is my Dads Birthday, and he has been gone from Us for 26 years! It is no doubt to me that my Daddy Carefully brought My husband Bobby into my life and my Mother fell in Love with him right away! They had the best Mother & Son in-law relationship until her passing in 2008. When you reach a certain age (50) and you have experience some highs & lows you are wise enough to reflect over your life with appreciation and have a grateful heart! Have you ever asked yourself where you were when some historical event took place? Where were you when 911 happen? When our Country elected its first African American President, or where were you when we welcomed in the year 2000? That's where I find myself today, My Husband was just named the Head Coach of Michigan State University their first African American Head Coach & Dr. Underwood their first African American AD. Michigan State has always been know to provide opportunities and valued their own! I am using this time to revisit my life on that journey. My Son Nicholas was 9 years old and my daughter Nataly was 12 years old. The MSU Spartans were headed to the Citrus Bowl in Orlando after a 9-2 record under the leadership of Coach Saban and we were excited. I will tell the story how Bobby was being interviewed by Eastern Michigan University for their next Head Coach position when he was summoned to meet with the the leadership at MSU. EMU will always be special to us because it is where Bobby was working when we first met! Life has a way of coming full circle. Bobby is currently the Special Teams Coordinator with Coach Saban at The University of Alabama. After coming up short, We are looking forward to meeting Coach Dantonio and the Michigan State Spartans in the Now Capital One Bowl in Orlando Florida! The Dantonios are like our family in that we Coached together for 5 years as Spartans, and me and Becky have some coaches wives garage sale stories to tell! I look forward to you taking this journey with me back into time! I call my journey behind the line of Scrimmage a glimpse into the life of a Coaches Wife and the family! Lets Go!
